Replaced my right hip 10 years ago and it's still going strong. Every doctor who has viewed x-rays has remarked that it is an excellent job.
One star (prefer zero) because Dr. Kugler has horrible bedside manners. He may be a good surgeon but his attitude towards his patients needs to change. I was actually sitting in the waiting room when a woman was complaining about him to the office manager. I refuse to continue to see him. He didn't understand my pain at all. Wouldn't do my surgery until I lost 40lbs within a 2 month time period which is extreme. I finally found an orthopedic who will do my surgery and who is understanding of my pain. No one should have to deal with a Dr. like this.
Agree he doesn't have the greatest bedside manner but I'll take surgical skills over smiles.
I had miniscus surgery 2 years ago January/ Two days after the surgery I couldn't put my foot down. I knew there would be discomfort from the surgery but this was not pain on the knee. I waited the two weeks went to the Dr. he said everything looks great except I had shooting pains on the ankle and calf. I waited and went back and he said lets check for a blood clot. That appeared fine. Well after several appointments, he did nothing. I went to another surgeon in another state he told me that the bone was singed and based on hat he found, I would not need a knee replacement which was never discussed. I was the one who agreed to the original operation he never even said it was very necessary. After looking at his notes he lied because he never really consulted me on the current problem and now I take shots ever 3-4 months to avoid the surgery right now. My daughter is a Para Legal and said they is always problems with his office.
Hands down the best orthopedic surgeon office around. Dr Kugler is amazing. Explains everything. Takes time with his patients and caring Doctor. Michelle is the best!! She is beyond professional and goes above and beyond. My family has been patients for several years there from when my son broke his hand about ten years ago and through the years have had to return for other needs. I just call and ask for Michelle directly and she is always available and helps and accommodates my needs and gets all and any questions answered right away. I have also had to refer friends and employees there and they too have ramped and raved of Michelle's amazing care and never disappointed. I will always recommend Dr Kugler with out a doubt. And myself coming from the medical field and office manager myself, the traits and qualities I have see Michelle express , it's beyond a pleasure to have her handle my needs as well as when referring people to the office I am confident they too will get the care and amazing warmth I get from Michelle every time. Thank you guys!!! You rock!!
I now need my left hip replaced and am headed back to Kugler.
I met Dr Klugler today and he took his time with me he answered all my questions and he was polite and nice I recommend him !!
