I WILL NOT buy another “fish” from BEA, but it is my go-to for inverts for sure.

These guys are extremely professional and really know what they're doing. Installation teams are on point and very clean. Cora selection and fish selection or second and on and they are very personable people. I would highly recommend them for service as well.

Great selection of corals and inverts. Exelent pricing. I have never bought fish there. The condition of them has always looked questionable. Especially if you do not quarantine your fish after purchase.Everyone I have talked to there has always been helpful and friendly. Some that have worked there have had no knowledge of corals and fish but helpful and nice regardless. Really like the no frills store.

Average amount of variety on coral frags, however some will be cut and the outer polyps will die. Avoid the discount frag tank because everything in that tank is usually about to die. Owner is fairly rude and will try to push you out the door a hour before close of your the only customer.

Corals (and other inverts) are fantastic at this place. I will definitely be back here for a nice selection at good prices for THOSE things. Adam is a good guy and knowledgeable - I prefer to deal with him. But, the reason for 4/5 stars is because the fish are not in good shape - if they only had fish there I’d give them a 2/5. Their prices are very low on fish, which is good (and why I didn’t say 1 star for fish only), but it’s a hell of a gamble. I’m guessing their supplier is to blame for that (and partially thank for the prices), but I don’t really know. I bought 3 fish from them at different times and all 3 died within a week each time. First time - a royal gramma that looked good and was eating. Died less than a week later after having some strange seizure - to this day I wonder what caused its death. I did not medicate and had another fish in with it in quarantine from another store. Afterwards, I went back and got a green clown goby the next weekend. I wasn’t sure if the goby was looking right but I couldn’t tell at the store with the dim lighting there. After getting home I thought it had marine velvet disease. The next day it was more obvious that it was marine velvet so I started cupramine treatment immediately (according to manufacturer directions) in the quarantine tank. The goby was dead the following morning - the other fish in quarantine from the other store did ok is now doing fine in my main tank. A month and a half later I decided to give them one last try with fish. I bought another royal gramma from them. Of course the lighting was poor at the store and I could not properly examine the fish prior to buying it, but it was cheap... I bought 2 other fish from another store. I got home and immediately realized the royal gramma was covered with marine velvet. I properly conditioned all 3 fish to the quarantine water, transferred them in, then immediately started cupramine due to the well-known quick-acting lethal disease presence on the royal gramma. Like I assumed, the royal gramma was dead by the next morning. The other 2 fish from the other store did not die. So in all cases it was not water quality issues in my tank. So far I’m 3/3 sick/dying fish I bought from Blue Earth Aquarium. So far I’m 4/4 living fish from the other store that has higher but still reasonable prices.

Best coral shop in the area. Great selection of healthy and unique coral for very reasonable prices. Helpful staff who actually care about your aquarium and take the time to explain what your aquarium needs and don't just try to upsell everything.
